It is March. It’s hard to believe, but the Building Communities of Belonging Conference is only a couple of months away. For the month of March only, though, you can register online for $25 and bring someone else along for free!

Conference Details and Speakers

The conference, hosted by Harvest Bible Chapel in Oakville, Ontario, will feature speakers such as Erik Carter, author of Including People with Developmental Disabilities in Faith Communities, Chantal Huinink, a motivational speaker, author and social justice advocate, and Tom Reynolds,  author of Vulnerable Communion: A Theology of Disability and Hospitality. Focusing on church contexts, this event features workshops and sessions to inform and equip anyone with a passion to build “communities of belonging.”

Registration and Preparation

Keith Dow lives near Ottawa, serving as Manager of Organizational and Spiritual Life with Karis Disability Services. He holds his PhD in caregiving ethics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is the author of Formed Together: Mystery, Narrative, and Virtue in Christian Caregiving (Baylor, 2021). Keith Dow is a credentialed Pastor with BIC Canada for his role with Karis Disability Services, where he supports the spiritual health of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and equips churches to be more accessible and hospitable.
