WORD:
“Behold, at that time I will deal with all your oppressors. And I will save the lame and gather the outcast, and I will change their shame into praise and renown in all the earth.” (Zeph 3:19, ESV)
THOUGHT:
In this verse about the restoration of Israel, God makes it clear that the ‘outsiders’ will become ‘insiders.’ Those who were ridiculed and despised will be praised and given renown across the earth.
PRAYER:
Jesus, may we not wait but confront the ways in which many oppress those with disabilities. Help us not see disability as a point of shame, but of praise and renown – being fully and wonderfully made in the image of God.
