WORD:
“I will go before you and make the rough places smooth: I will shatter the door of bronze and cut through their iron bars.” (Isaiah 45:2, NASB)
THOUGHT:
“Making a way” has always been God’s mission. Whether this is in smoothing rough paths, or breaking through iron bars, God clears a path so that we might know that it is “I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.” (Isaiah 45:3, NASB)
PRAYER:
Jesus, give us the courage, boldness and gentleness needed to ‘go before’ and join in God’s mission to make level the way. Help us to see the doors that need to be broken down in order to open communities of belonging with all people.
